Goodbye to Winter: Medium Concepts Winter 2014

As the inspiration for our F/W 2014 campaign, we’ve chosen our neighbor at 240 Centre Street: the landmark former New York City Police Department headquarters.
Check out the full photoshoot after the jump.

Built between 1905 and 1909, the building was designed by the prestigious firm of Hoppin & Koen. It housed the headquarters of the NYPD until 1973, before being converted in luxury condominiums. Now, the building is known as the Police Building Apartments.

The building at 240 Centre Street replaced an older building nearby on Mulberry Street where Theodore Roosevelt had served as New York City Police Commissioner. Following the consolidation of Manhattan and the outer boroughs into the city of “Greater New York,” the police department underwent expansion and needed a new building to house their central offices.

The Police Building was designated a New York City landmark in 1978, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a true symbol of relentlessness that stands the test of time. We hope to encompass a similar spirit at Medium Concepts — one that strives to be a bridge, a compass, for each and every client. From the moment a brand touches our agency, it takes the first step towards the customer it seeks.
